The Mainship Pilot 34 has the seakeeping abilities of the lobster boat it has descended from. It has a steep plumb bow and a gentle rise of the sheer, both of these qualities give the Pilot 34 the ability to cut through head seas, while the rounded forward hull sections provide a soft entry. Flatter sections aft increase lift for speed and economy, and the deep full keel with a complete sand shoe gives stability and protection from grounding. In the cockpit, the Pilot 34 has a double-wide helm and companion seat flanking the large hydraulically assisted engine access hatch. The comfortable side lounges can double as a berth with a removable backrest. A tilt-up console means easy access to electronics and wiring. There is a built in insulated cooler box aft as well as a standard transom door. Down below is a bright and airy cabin area. As you descend 3 steps into the cabin, you will find the spacious head to port, forward is the galley area complete with a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, a new induction cooktop, Corian countertops, and a slide out pantry. Across from the galley is a large dinette which easily converts to a double berth and includes plenty of storage. Forward in the bow is the stateroom with an extra- long innerspring queen berth, one hanging locker and plenty of drawers to swallow gear for the weekend or a month.
